• Make sure you backup all your data ( Word documents, spreadsheets, pictures, videos, music, etc)

• Take pictures of your laptop for any cosmetic damage or any other damage that may exist before you sent it for repairs. ( This will avoid you to get in any arguments with your laptop repair guy)

• Get rid of anything you wouldn’t want some random person having access to.

• Call as many repair centers you can and compare the prices

• Take out any SD cards, CD’s, DVD’s or you might not see them again

• These steps should hopefully avoid you and your repair guy getting into an argument.
